Since our founding in 2022, World Class Detroit has been committed to supporting youth and families in Southeast Michigan communities. We are happy to support our youth, specifically when it comes to their health and well-being, and encouraging their participation in the arts.
Here are the causes and organizations we support:
Make-A-Wish Michigan (State of Michigan) – Each year, WCD provides $10,000 in donated and discounted services to support Make-A-Wish Michigan, which creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.
The Coney (Detroit and metro area) – In 2026, WCD was an in-kind sponsor of this inaugural event that raised $2.7 million for youth arts education for Detroit’s children.
Courageous Kids (Plymouth) – Courageous Kids creates joyful, family-centered experiences that uplift children facing life-threatening illnesses. For the past two years, WCD has donated service raffled at their Golf for Courage outing.
Shedneck Foundation (Plymouth-Canton) – For two years, WCD has donated car service raffled at their October event. The foundation’s mission is to bring joy, hope and unforgettable experiences to teens and young adults battling cancer.
Birdies for Bird Golf Outing (Plymouth) – In 2026, WCD was a business sponsor of this outing, which supports Thunderbird Cares, a Bird Elementary program providing school supplies backpacks, holiday gifts and local family assistance.
Plymouth Community Arts Council (Plymouth) – This year, WCD sponsored PCAC’s Wilcox Wednesday Music in the Park series held in downtown Plymouth throughout the summer.
Northville Public Library (Northville) – WCD is a business sponsor of the library.
